  • AC Power Sources

CSW Series - AMETEK Programmable Power, Inc.

The CSW Series represents a new generation of AC/DC power sources that address the increasing demands on test equipment to perform additional functions at a lower cost. By combining a flexible AC/DC power source with a high performance power analyzer, the Compact CSW Series is capable of handling complex applications that have traditionally required multiple systems. The sleek integrated approach of the CSW avoids cable clutter that is commonly found in test systems. All connections are made internally and the need for digital multimeters, power harmonics analyzers, and current shunts or clamps is eliminated.

  • AC Line Splitter

Extech 480172 - Extech Instruments Corporation

This Extech 480172 Line Splitter provides a fast and easy way to “open” standard 120 Volt AC electrical lines, eliminating the need to cut off the plug and separate the conductors. When connected between a 120 Volt AC outlet and a device under test, this splitter separates the hot/live conductor from the neutral and ground, which enables users to measure AC current up to 15 Amp on a two-wire or three-wire lines using a clamp meter. This splitter also features two Voltage Test jacks so that voltage can be measured using a multimeter.

  • Ground Grid Tester

GGT Series - IBEKO Power AB

The GGT500 ground grid integrity tester is designed for inspection of the substation ground grid. It can also be used as a portable micro-ohmmeter with Both Sides Grounded and Remote Control functionalities. It is intended to inspection the conditions of a grounding system beneath substations, testing of medium- and high-voltage circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, high-current bus bar joints, cable splices, and different high-current links. In the United States when inspecting the quality of the grounding systems beneath a substation, the proper procedure is to inject 300 A DC during a time period of 60 s. This is what the GGT500 will do, and in that time period, the current path and voltage drop are checked. Also acting as a micro-ohmmeter, the GGT500 can test low resistance values by producing high test currents of up to 500 A.The instrument is placed in an unbreakable, plastic case with IP67 protective rating (with closed lid). Although very portable and lightweight, micro-ohmmeters have very high output power capabilities. High output voltage enables a wider measurement range at higher test currents, as well as the use of thinner/longer test cables. GGT500 ground grid integrity tester generates a true DC ripple-free (less than 1 % ripple) current with automatically regulated test ramps. This significantly decreases magnetic transients and ensures great accuracy. When used for testing in Both Sides Grounded conditions, a special current clamp powered from the ground grid integrity tester is used for measuring a current through groundings. If even a higher safety level is required, the remote control feature enables the operator to perform measurements from a distant location, away from the instrument and test object.

  • Microohmmeter

    MMR-6500 - Sonel S.A.

The MMR-6500 digital meter is designed for measuring low resistances with a stabilised current of up to 100 A. The use of test clamps enables the safe measurement of breakers (high-, medium- and lowvoltage), isolators and other components earthed on both sides. The MMR-6500 series meters are equipped with a unique module in their class that measures inductive components which have a current of up to 10 A, enabling the winding resistance of motors, transformers and other inductive components to be measured. Another useful function is the temperature measurement and the automatic compensation of results with relation to the measured temperature or temperature set by the user. The system is completed with a recorder function. Special measuring algorithms and additional functions allow an appropriate measuring method to be chosen depending on the measured component and measurement conditions, thus, widening the application areas of the meter. The state-of-the-art user interface, various communication interfaces, wireless communication and communication with the computer, printer, 2D code reader are integrals features which enable full, comfortable and intuitive management of not only measurements and their results but also ID data of measured components.

  • Circuit Breaker Analyzers & Timers

CAT Handheld Series - IBEKO Power AB

When it’s not practical to use conventional robust circuit breaker analyzers, a handheld circuit breaker analyzer and timer may come handy. DV Power has developed a unique CAT Handheld series. It is specially designed for testing of circuit breakers with one break per phase. Their compact and ergonomic design can provide a wide range of features and reliable operations in low, medium and high-voltage substations or in industrial environments.CAT Handheld series consists of two models, CAT-P and CAT-H. Both of them have a large (5,7 in) colored touch screen display. Because of that, test results are visible in dark places as well as in bright sunlight.Powerful internal Li-Ion battery of the instruments can last up to 8 hours of testing without recharging.CAT Handheld series records:main contacts operating times, contact synchronization, sequence time,a resistance of pre-insertion resistors, open and close coil currents, main contacts bounce time, auxiliary contact time,DC Voltage.Multiple operations, such as Open-Close and Open-Close-Open, can be initiated by using a predefined delay time or by triggering signal from current clamps connected to circuit breaker coil.CAT-H is capable of performing a coil control, while this feature is optional at CAT-P instrument. In contrast to CAT-H, CAT-P instrument can execute “First Trip” test. Both instruments display numerical and graphical results. Because of that, a user can easily overlay up to 4 records in the graphical form and make a quick on-site analysis of potential defects.A user can download test results to a PC via Bluetooth interface for more detailed analysis using DV Win software.
